Snow!!!

We were so excited when we heard that the east coast was going to get snow. Andys first real snow experience. We had a little dusting a few weeks ago but not enough of it to really enjoy! This time we got about 20 inches! We got him a new snow suit and boots and grandpa and grandma got him a new sled! At the moment Andy is napping but as soon as he wakes up we are going to grandma and grandpa's house to try out his new sled. I will post pictures asap.
Well, for some reason we forgot to get the camera out while Andy was on the sled but at least we got some pics of him building their first snowman of the season with daddy and grandma!

Halloween Solution Part 2

Sorry about the delay of this posting. Finally, we have uploaded all the pics off the camera and the video camera. So here are some pics and video of Andy dressed as a Dragon, the second Halloween costume... I don't know which one I liked the best. I think they were both adorable!

Halloween Solution

Ok, so here's what we decided... We compromised and had Andy wear both costumes! It worked out great! We have trick or treating at our mall a couple days before Halloween. So Andy wore his Panda costume to the mall and on Halloween he wore his Dragonosaurus costume. He was sooo cute in both!! We took him trick or treating at a few houses in grandma and grandpa's neighborhood. Happy Birthday grandma! We will upload some pics of the Dragon suit soon...

Debate...

Hubby and I are having a Halloween costume debate. Of course this is just a fun debate!! He thinks that the costume I chose is too stereotypical for an Asian child. I think it's adorable! I chose a really cute panda costume! Andy looks so great in it and he doesn't mind wearing the hood, which is incredible because he usually won't keep anything on his head... I need some opinions... Please give us your comments. I may chose the panda in the end, but I'd like to know what the consensus is...

After Halloween, I will post pictures of Andy in the costume that we picked!

Pumpkin Patch

I almost forgot to mention that we went to the pumpkin patch last weekend! We all had a great time. Andy didn't quite know what to make of the pumkins. He thought they were balls. We took a hayride to get to the pumpkin patch and he absolutely loved that!! He kept pointing at the tractor that was pulling us. He also got a kick out of the baby animals petting farm. He almost pet the goats but he thought they were dogs. We also pet the alpaca, who proceeded to spit grass at me! That was pretty disgusting but he was very soft and cute.

My Gym

While we are waiting for our baby girl to join our family, I will be posting tidbits about her big brother Andy and all of his adventures. Our little man has just turned 17 months old. He's been walking for about 2 months now and he is practically running. Last night before bedtime I asked him to help me clean up his toys and put them into his toy box. He did it so well as if he didn't even need my help! I usually have to sing a clean up song and encourage him to help me but last night he didn't need any encouragement. He's becoming such a big boy!!!

For the last two weeks Andy has been attending My Gym. At first he was a little cautious and apprehensive about some of the instructors and the equipment but every class he branches out a little more. This week was the most fun he's had thus far. On Tuesday we got to class a little early, which for us is a real feat. I had a tendency to be a little late before Andy came home...haha. So anyway, getting there early we were the only ones there. They let us go into the gym and started the music. He started dancing and bopping around, having a great time with the gym all to himself. He went up the stairs to the slide and went down the slide on his bottom all by himself! I was so excited! He'd always wanted me to help him and hold him as he went down. That day he was all about doing everything himself. I am all for my little guy doing things like a big boy, but it means my baby is growing up (insert sad face here). I'm not really sad but sometimes I feel like I need more baby time with him. I'm sure we still have plenty of baby time left where he'll actually need his mama and his dada. We went to the gym again today with dada this time and took the camera and video camera. Grandpa also came to watch Andy have a blast. Well that's all for now. I'll be sure to post more Andy stuff soon!

Starting Again

We are excited to announce that we finally sent in our application to adopt our second child!! We were going to send it when we first arrived home from picking up our son Andy in Taiwan in March 2009, but we decided to wait a while. While waiting, time just seemed to slip away so quickly but we finally got on the ball. For this adoption we are asking for an infant girl. We are anticipating approximately a 2 year wait, maybe a little longer. That's just fine because we have a very active toddler here to keep us busy and on our toes. I'm sure as the journey progresses I will start to get anxious about getting her home but for now I am settled in and ready for the wait.
